Celyn Polocrosse Club is based at Northop College, North Wales, with summer training grounds at Backford, near Chester. We have a thriving membership, with teams playing in every grade from Juniors and Primary Juniors right up to A division. Our members come from North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire, the Wirral and even as far afield as Yorkshire, Lancashire and Mid Wales!
A number of our members have played internationally, representing both Wales and the UK at Junior, Under 21 and Open levels. Celyn players have been part of the UK team in every Polocrosse World Cup since it began in 2003.
As a club we are affiliated with the UK Polocrosse Association (UKPA) who organise many tournaments and training camps throughout the year. Further information can be found on the UKPA website.
How to Join Celyn
If you would like to try polocrosse with us, you can come along to your first few sessions to give it a go. You can contact us via the club secretary (details can be found on the Contact Us page) and arrange to join the next training session.
If you decide to continue playing you will need to join both the UKPA and Celyn, and a Welcome pack will be sent out to you. Joining forms with full information can be found on the Downloads page. Once you are a member you will be added to our mailing list and Facebook group, where you can keep in touch with goings on in the club. We usually train once a week during the playing season, as well as holding social events and attending tournaments.
We have produced a Welcome pack for new members giving much useful information about how the club and polocrosse works, download it here Celyn Welcome Pack 2015.
